Learn more about Fascia treatment

Fascia is a network of connective tissue that surrounds and supports everything in the body, from muscles and bones to organs and cells. It can be compared to a spider’s web made up of both firm and soft parts – strong as steel, yet flexible like threads. Fascia protects the body from impact by distributing load and pressure. For example, if you stub your toe, the fascia ensures that the shock is absorbed not only by the foot, but also by the knee, hip, and back. Fascia is a system of flexible, mobile connective tissue that envelops the entire body. When our fascial system is healthy, we feel well – but when the fascia becomes stiff, tense, or inflamed, it has consequences.
The Swedish Fascia Vibes machine works in the following way: through 400 to 1200 harmonious pulsations per minute, it creates wave-like movements that spread through the fascia like ripples on water. This allows large areas of the body to be treated in a short time, both broadly and deeply. The treatment increases relaxation, circulation, and fluid flow, helping the body to heal itself. The secret lies in the variation of speed, which “forces” the nervous system to relax.
Please wear soft, comfortable clothing. A fascia treatment begins with an assessment of your posture and balance, together with an evaluation of your symptoms, in order to form a diagnosis. The treatment then focuses on releasing tension in the body and creating balance and flow. You will also receive advice on how to keep your fascia as healthy and vital as possible, along with simple exercises to take home with you. We may also look at aspects of your lifestyle: what is the cause of your pain? What could you do more of, and what do you need less of? Our aim is to give you a better understanding of the whole – how everything within and around us is connected and influences one another – and how it all comes down to creating balance.
Fascia is the future.
